ABC宣布续订《菜鸟老警》第五季。
郑志是厦门市五星级酒店老板的儿子。在一次去云南旅行中郑志一家人不幸遭遇地震，郑志幸免于难，被一个当地人所救，但却失去了记忆。郑志在丽江邂逅红颜知己唐小薇，两人日久生情。当郑志恢复记忆并回厦门寻亲时才发现早已物是人非，家业已被公司副总孙天博霸占，未婚妻林聪儿也已与好友费青山相恋。但郑志并未因此消沉不振，决定自立门户，白手起家、从头再来。郑志与患难之交的几位好友一起创业，在唐小薇等人的帮助下重新崛起，并成功应对了以女强人冯雅秀为首的雅秀集团的强力挑战。最后，郑志在好友费青山的帮助下搜集证据，揭发了孙天博的种种阴谋，成功夺回家业。但就在这时，唐小薇却因病去世。经历过生离死别的郑志最终看透名和利，毅然捐出全部财产在全国兴建希望小学，与爱侣林聪儿携手踏上人生的另一段旅途。
《总统》为家庭剧。讲述了男主人公从最底层通过不断奋斗逐步登上总统宝座的故事。该剧虽说以政治为题材，却与以前的针对韩国现代政治系列剧存在根本差异。主要描述了人权律师出身的总统与其藏匿起来的儿子和好的过程。
